Murrumbeena Tennis Club has had a long history and been an integral part of the Murrumbeena community since the area was developed. There are reports that the Club competed in the Victoria Tennis Association in the 1890’s.

The land occupied by the tennis courts was set aside specifically for tennis in the original subdivision of the Murrumbeena area. The Club has maintained strong links with the local community and residents in Murrumbeena for over 100 years.
