Dear Members,

The rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation has forced the Murrumbateman Tennis Club to look at our own activities and how we can assist in ensuring the safety and health of our players, members and those within the broader community. Social distancing has been proven to help contain and reduce the spread of the virus and this has been a huge factor in our decision to cancel Community Play (Sunday afternoons) and social tennis (Tues and Thurs nights) till the Easter weekend (end of school term). We will then reassess the situation during the school holidays. This has not been an easy decision. However our goal is to do our part in reducing the spread of the virus, and ensure our community remains healthy and strong during this period.  

We have had a fantastic start to the year with many players attending and enjoying  our programs. Members are still welcome to use the courts on your own accord. Access to the courts and club house is through our key safe. If you haven’t registered for this facility or have any difficulties with access, please email tennismurrumbateman@gmail.com. Tennis balls and mini-nets will be available to members in the clubhouse under the notice board. It is everyone’s responsibility to practice appropriate and proper hygiene (hand washing etc) when using club equipment and facilities.

Finally, our head coach Scott Eulenstein  is continuing as normal with his mid-week private coaching for the time being. Please contact Scott, Spinifex Tennis (scott.eulenstein@outlook.com) if you would like utilise this coaching service during the week.

The situation is changing rapidly and we will continue to keep you updated on matters that concern the running of our club and events. We would like to thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult time for all of us.
