About Us

Mordialloc Tennis Club has a friendly, progressive committee.  We are dedicated to the game of tennis and the idea of ensuring everyone benefits from joining our club.  With over 100 members, the club offers an array of programs and competitions for players of any standard and age.

In partnership with Kingston council, we have 6 en-tou-cas courts all under lights surrounded by large open grounds and an extensive clubhouse with kitchen and lounge facilities, changerooms, toilets and showers.

The club is accessible by train and bus, and free parking is located adjacent to the courts.

The club now fully utilizes the Clubspark platform provided by Tennis Australia to provide online facilities to buy or renew membership packages and make court bookings.

We offer competition opportunities for our members, including BRTA Junior Competition, Mens, Womens, and Mixed Night competition and our own social match play nights.

The club also offers many learning opportunities to play the game for members and non-members of all ages and standards with coaching provided by Ottavio Boron of Tournament Tennis, who is a fully accredited coach with Tennis Australia.

OUR HISTORY

Mordialloc Tennis Club is a long established tennis club in Bayside with a rich history.

The club originally started in beachside Mordialloc and subsequently moved to its current location off McDonald Street at Paul Denyer Reserve Mordialloc.

Paul Denyer Reserve is located next to the site of the old Epsom Race Course with its historic totalizator building which is now home to Oscars Hangout Café.

From its inaugural meeting in 1889, Epsom was the centre of the racing community at Mordialloc with most trainers settled in the district. Now a housing estate, in its heyday at the beginning of the 20th century it was one of Victoria's premier race tracks. Later in life it became a training track before being eventually closed in the 1980s.
