Meredith Tennis Club is involved in Tennis Geelong's Orange Ball competition for juniors. 

This competition is aimed for children aged 6-8 years old and uses normal sized tennis balls, that are half the compression of a yellow tennis ball.  Children play on a slightly smaller court, which allows them to have the experience of match play while building their skills and confidence. Children play both doubles and singles, and only four games are played. There is a strong focus is on teaching children to play and have fun, with less emphasis on the game score.
