Welcome To Maiden Gully Tennis Club

Exciting Upgrades!

Please note that MGTC has been successful in securing City of Greater Bendigo Council funding to upgrade the courts and clubrooms in FY2023/24.

It is expected demolition work will commence in Sep 2023, with the court upgrade complete by approximately Mar 2024 and new clubrooms soon after.

The MGTC Committee is negotiating details for members to have access to the Marist College (Golf Links Rd, Maiden Gully), Eaglehawk Tennis Club (Crowther St, Eaglehawk) and/or Bendigo Tennis Association (Nolan St, Bendigo) tennis courts.  More to follow - stay tuned...

General Introduction

Welcome to the Maiden Gully Tennis Club (MGTC), situated in the heart of Maiden Gully township and within the Maiden Gully Recreation Reserve. The MGTC is growing fast, and is receiving continuing interest in competitive tennis, junior coaching and social tennis.

MGTC prides itself in having fun, and bringing community together, so what ever level or interest you have in tennis don’t hesitate to give us a call and join us.

The Tennis Club is situated in the Maiden Gully Recreation Reserve which is on Beckhams Road, Maiden Gully, and in the heart of the Maiden Gully township. It has four hardcourts, and  two of the courts has lights for night play, and plenty of car parking.

With the significant interest in the MGTC form our community, schools, and other sporting groups, we are now working with the City of Greater Bendigo on a major upgrade of our facilities. We have entered a design phase for four brand new artificial courts at the Reserve in 2022/23, as well as accessing two courts at Marist College Bendigo on Patas Road, Maiden Gully in 2021/22.

Due to the number of players, we are currently registered with both the Eaglehawk and District tennis Association (EDTA), where our Seniors play competition, and the Bendigo Tennis Association (BTA), where our juniors play competitions. Soon we will have a pathway program for any player, no matter the ability, to play tennis at our Club or at the BTA.

So, it’s exciting times ahead, memberships are open for the 2021/22 season, which starts from 1 September 2021, so please look at the memberships tab for further information. New members are always welcome, and if anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to contact the club on maidengullytennisclub@gmail.com or any of our executive committee on the phone (see Contacts tab).
