Leongatha Tennis Club has 6 teams in the Mirboo North & District Junior Tennis Association (MNDJTA) district competition that runs from 7th October 2023 through to 23th March 2024.

Welcome & Information

Leongatha Tennis Club has the organising role this season. The club volunteers appointed are - Sarah Coolidge President, Matt Pocklington Vice President & Nash Dowel Score Secretary.

Start Time:

• Important to arrive at club by 8.30am, team hit for 5 minutes
• Best scenario is play gets underway at or before 8.45am

New format! This year we are trialling 3 player teams:

• Each player will play 2 doubles & 1 singles match
• A & B Grade: 6 game sets – tie breaker at 5 all
• C grade: 4 game sets – no tie breaker
• Players are in order of strongest to weakest
• If unsure of team order, check with your Club Junior Coordinator

Role of Team Managers:

• Ensure 3 players are right to play and are aware of the venue.
• If your team has more than 3 players, create a roster.
• Make yourself and team members aware of venue locations.

• Leongatha North – 10 Palmross’s Road, Leongatha North
• Mardan – 10 Coulters Road, Mardan
• Baromi – Mirboo North Rec Reserve, 2A Strzelecki Highway, Mirboo North
• Fish Creek – John Terrill Memorial Park 47 Fall Road – Behind football oval
• Dumbalk North Tennis Club – 31 Milford Road, Dumbalk North

Score Sheets:

• Take a clear photo & send via text to Nash Dowel 0408 402 639
• Send straight away at the completion of play
• Full names must be on score sheet
• Winning team is the one with the most sets, if even then games

Fill ins:

• Any player from any club can fill in. You can’t play in a lower grade, but you can fill in for the same or a higher grade. Please refer to rules for qualifying etc.
• When needing a fill in start with other Team Managers as many will have a spare player
• If you can’t find one there, try your Club Junior Coordinator next

Club Membership Required

All juniors playing for the Club need to be finanical members of Leongatha Tennis Club.  Note that club memberships are separate from coaching fees.  Membership includes the competition fees for this summer competition so you only need pay the membership, nothing further.  Junior Membership (Under 18s), Family Membership (2 Adults, unlimited children) and a special price C Grade Junior Membership are available,  please ensure you pay membership directly to the Club - all the membership details here including online signup.
