Competition
Competitions
Lang Lang Tennis Club runs a full calendar of competitions for juniors and seniors, designed to be welcoming, well-organised, and fun. Whether you’re chasing your first rally win or fine-tuning match play, you’ll find formats to suit your age, experience, and weekly routine. Our goal is simple: give every player a fair, supportive pathway to enjoy competitive tennis and keep improving.
Juniors
Junior competition focuses on confidence, court craft, and good sportsmanship. Players are graded so matches are balanced and enjoyable, with coaching links to help translate training into game day. New to comp? We’ll place you in a team that fits your level and pair you with a friendly team manager to guide you through fixtures, scoring, and match etiquette. Parents and carers are encouraged to get involved with scoring and supervision—no experience needed, we’ll show you how.
Seniors
Senior competition offers both social-competitive and performance-oriented pathways. Formats span singles, doubles, and mixed across graded sections, so you can choose the challenge that suits. If you’re returning after a break, we’ll recommend a section that eases you back in. If you’re chasing a tougher hit, we’ll work to place you higher and connect you with hitting partners mid-week.
How it works
Seasons typically run across summer and winter, with home and away fixtures. Before each season we hold grading hit-outs to confirm sections and teams. Fixtures, results, and ladders are published online, and captains receive weekly updates. Match balls are supplied for home ties; standard tennis attire and non-marking shoes are required. If you don’t have a full team, register as an individual—many of our best sides were formed this way.
Getting started
If you’re new, submit a quick expression of interest with your preferred competition (Junior or Senior), playing experience, and availability. We’ll follow up with grading details, season dates, and fees. If you’re unsure where you fit, book a short assessment hit and we’ll recommend the right section.
Code of conduct and wellbeing
We’re proud of a culture built on respect, fairness, and inclusion. All players, parents, and spectators agree to our code of conduct covering on-court behaviour, language, and support for umpires and volunteers. We welcome players of all backgrounds and abilities and can discuss reasonable adjustments to ensure you feel safe and supported on court.
