Ladder Points

The following rules describe how ladder points are awarded as a result of a Home and Away match. Each team gets 1 point per set won. Each team gets 2 points for the overall win on sets (or rubbers for Pennant/Section 1). In Pennant/Section 1, if a tiebreaker is played to decide the winner, the tiebreaker “set” does not earn a ladder point. A total of 10 points for sections 2-4 and 7 points for Pennant/Section 1 are allocated per match.

In the case of a draw on sets and games each team gets 1 point for each set won. Also 1 point each (for the win on sets).

In the case of a bye each team gets 5 points for sections 2-4, and 3.5 points for Pennant/Section 1.

In the case of a partial washout if one team has already won outright (that is that if they lost every game yet to be played, they would still win) then that team gets 2 points for the win on sets or rubbers. Plus each team still gets a point for each set they have already won. Plus each team gets half a point for any sets washed out.
