Coaching

The Kambah Tennis Club coaches are Christian Anrath and Narelle Raftery of ARTennis. They offer group and individual coaching and lessons for all ages and levels. They also sell racquets and balls and offer a restringing service.

Advanced Pro Level 2 - ATPCA

As a junior, Christian reached a very high standard, representing the state many times. In the mid 90's after a period away from the game,  he returned to Tennis as an adult playing open tournaments in the ACT and around Australia. At the same time, he started his tennis coaching career at the Tuggeranong Tennis Centre (TTC).  TTC was the ACT's largest Tennis Centre with over 2000 pupils and 300 club members. He coached there until it was sold in 2004 when it later became MPowerdome. He then went on to work with 'The Steven Moloney School of Tennis' at North Woden and Pines Tennis Clubs. In 2006 he started at Kambah Tennis Club.

As a tennis coach, Christian has extensive experience coaching at all levels and ages. He is an outstanding motivator for young children and possess an exceptional aptitude for imparting his tennis knowledge to a wide range of puplis.

Narelle Raftery

Advanced Pro Level 2 - ATPCA

In August 2013, Narelle held the number 1 ranking in the Australian Tennis Seniors Woman category (over 50s).  She has been ranked as high as #9 in the world ITF rankings for Senior women.  Narelle won three bronze medals at the 2013 World Seniors Tennis championships in Antalya, Turkey.  She is the 2013 over-50 Australian Women's champion.  She won the 2013 ACT Masters Sports award for March (Sports Star of the Month). In 2011, Narelle was the ACT over-35s tennis player of the year.  In that year she also won the Bob Thornton award for ACT tennis seniors.  Narelle won the singles, doubles and mixed events at the 45th ACT Seniors Tennis Tournament held over the 2015 Easter long weekend.
