We are now well into winter, although there has been plenty of sunshine, and no reason for not getting some exercise on either the tennis court or the pickleball court. Pickleball equipment is kept in the toilet, so easy access for our members. Later this week we will put a container of balls on the court that you can use or take home for your pet.
Unfortunately our lock to the corner gate has gone missing, meaning that we have had to purchase a new lock. If any member has taken it home by mistake please return it to the club. You can leave it in the toilet if you wish. We try to keep the courts secure to protect against vandalism, especially during school holidays. We will be purchasing a new net in the next few week to replace the one that has been damaged.
Social Tennis is still on every Thursday morning for the ladies, and Saturday mixed. Indoor pickleball is on Tuesday evening from 6.00 pm. If you wish to warm up on these cold nights ,ten minutes of pickleball will do the trick.
Summer competition at the BTC is not far away. We are looking to have both Senior and Junior teams playing. If you would like to play Comp please contact us. We are hoping to get enough players per team to allow some rotation so that you are not obliged to play every week. We are looking for all skill levels from A grade to C grade.
If you are looking to improve your tennis, or have children interested ,contact our coach Steve and have a chat. Steve also runs holiday programmes over the school holidays if you wish to get your children off their devices and out into the fresh air.
Finally, we would like to thank our sponsors, Butterfly Audiology, PH Property and Agnico Eagle for their help and support.
Cheers,
