This week we welcome Girton Grammar to the Tennis Club. Commencing Thursday August 8th Girton Grammar will be holding their Tennis Program on our courts, and this will be run by our Head Coach Steve Storer. The fact that we are able to host an event of this size , with hundreds of children participating over the coming weeks is a credit to the progress the Club has made. This does mean that Ladies Social Tennis on Thursday will be commencing at 9.30 am on both the 8th and 22nd of August. I apologise for any inconvenience.

Dates for your diary:

1. Pre season working bee. Sunday 25th August from 9.30. We need to re-sort the storage areas, and de-weed the courts.

2. Club AGM will be on Saturday 14th September @ 12.00 pm. All members are encouraged to attend. We are looking for some new thinking on the committee, so don't be afraid to put your hand up. It is not too arduous!

3. Member Protection Officer. We are still looking for a Member Protection Information Officer. This is a very important role in the club, especially if we get the increase in junior members that we hope for. Even though the role is important, we hope that there will never be a need to call on it.

4. Registration Family Day Sunday October 6th from 9.30 until 12.00. Come on down to the club, meet other members, try out the facilities, and enjoy a free breakfast . If you haven't paid your subs, great time to use our EFT payment system.

5. Teams for Saturday Comps at the Tennis Centre. We hope to put a number of junior teams into Comps on Friday night and Saturday morning, plus we would love a senior team in all three grades. We have interest being shown for both juniors and seniors. If you still have the competitive spirit let us know. If we get enough players, we can do some rotation so you are not committed every week if that is what you prefer.

6. Seniors Week. We will be running a Pickleball open day during Seniors Week in October. There will be more on that at a later date.
