Head Coaching Professional and Facility Manager – Jaime McDonagh

Jaime grew up in Forster and was an avid competitive junior tennis player and cricketer during his younger years. After many years of competing Jaime turned his interest to coaching and pursued higher education to add to his natural ability to communicate and coach aspiring tennis players. Jaime has successfully coached many players to the elite level of national and international standard.

Jaime studied through the University of Queensland to achieve his certification in Applied Science – Sport Coaching and is also recognized as a Club Professional level coach by Tennis Australia.

Jaime has been the Forster Tennis Club head professional since 1993 and is dedicated to bringing his expertise to each person that steps onto the court in private or group lessons. From the very youngest player to the senior star of the court Jaime is able to bring out the best in personal performance. Jaime is also the FTC’s club facility manager.


Coaching programs, classes

Junior lessons follow NSW school term schedule. Primary school aged children just starting out can enrol on Monday or Tuesday Hotshots 3:30 to 4:30pm. On the coaches approval the next level to move up to is the Wednesday Developing Competition 1.5 hour session.

Jaime’s Elite Squad for advanced juniors or tournament/comp’ players is held Tuesday from 4:30 to 6pm.
