VOLUNTEERS

There are so many marvellous people – even non-players – who help with areas such as gardening, maintenance, window cleaning and purchasing of supplies. This cooperation raises the level of cohesive management of our Club and adds to the great spirit of friendship that means everything is prepared and welcoming for members and visitors.

It follows that we have many people to choose from when the annual Frank Pitt Club Person of the Year Award comes around.

Then there are the fantastic people who take on Management Committee Roles. Many members have assisted over the years – some for record-breaking periods like inaugural President Kay Barclay (21 years)  Past Treasurer Ron Church (18 years) and Club Captain Ossie Selwood – still in the position, even surpassing Ron’s record. Each person has contributed to making Forster Tennis Club – “A Beautiful Place to Play Tennis”
