Night Tennis : Knox District Night Tennis Association

There are approximately 30 clubs from the Knox and surrounding districts that compete in the Knox District Night Tennis Association (KDNTA) competitions.

The Ferny Creek Tennis Club (FCTC) currently fields teams in Monday and Thursday KDNTA competitions.  Competition is also available on Wednesday night.  To participate, all players must be full members of the FCTC.

Monday Evening: Inter-Club Mixed Doubles from 7.30pm.  Cost per player/match is $8.

Wednesday Evening: Fast 5 Social Comp.  Any age or gender. Cost per player is $5.

Thursday Evening: Inter-Club Singles from 7.30pm.  Cost per player/match is $8.

The format for Monday night competition is mixed doubles, all teams consisting of 2 men and 2 women.  Each player contests 3 sets of tennis, with men’s and women’s doubles being followed by a set of mixed doubles with both partners.

The format for Wednesday night competition is 3 sets x 8 games doubles.

Thursday night competition is open to both men and women.  Two person teams contest a set of doubles and a set of singles against each opponent.

For all KDNTA competitions a tie-break is played at 5 sets all, except in finals matches where it’s at 6 sets all.
