Social Tennis
Last night (13th of July), the Nillumbik Shire Council emailed tennis clubs in the shire to say that they have revised their earlier position (which was to completely close tennis facilities), now allowing tennis under fairly restricted conditions (see below). In summary: clubhouse completely closed, sanitise hands on the way in and out of the club, one to one coaching, singles or doubles play for people in the same household, otherwise just singles play. Maximum 10 participants at any one time.
Bookings
All social tennis sessions are again at various flexible times through the day, and need to be booked by phone - members can book by calling Laurie Sparks on 0427 830 163 between 9am and 7pm. Non-members can be included in the social tennis session bookings, if the booking includes members and the members make sure the non-member follows the guidelines. Unfortunately we still cannot offer public court hire at this stage.
Please note: bookings will be taken under the name of the person making the booking, but every player in the booking needs to sign in, every time they play, using the form at https://forms.gle/CDHU1jkxPg9WZgw69. There are posters at the club which have the QR code that takes you to that form.
Tennis Associations / Competition Tennis
The previously announced expected Spring 2020 season start dates are now up in the air. At least for the six-week duration of the stage 3 restrictions there will be no community competition tennis played according to the current rules.
DVTA have now cancelled their Autumn season.
MMTA have cancelled their Spring 2020 season.
Nillumbik Shire Council rules:

o One to one coaching is permitted
· Shorten booking times to create a buffer between sessions to ensure minimal cross over
· Advise players to not change ends
· There should be no off-court social gatherings
· The committee needs to ensure to keep records of who attends your venue and their contact details, you may want to use this QR Code for this purpose
