Tennis Update - 20th of December 2020

Safety

Please sign in to the contact tracing system everytime you play (see section below).  We are likely to have to do this for quite some time.

Maximum 50 people in the venue at any one time.  No need for a booking now, please just try to avoid coaching times during school terms  (Monday 4-8pm, Wednesday 4-7 and Thursday 3-7).

Please don't come to the venue if you have any of the covid symptoms, if you are waiting on the result of a covid test, if you are quarantining, you have had covid, or if you are a close contact of someone who has had covid.

Wear a mask at any time if you are inside the clubhouse (unless you are eating or drinking) or if you can't socially distance.

Keep at least 1.5 metres from everyone else at the venue.

Sanitise your hands on the way in and out.

The clubhouse is available for use, with a maximum of 10 people at any one time.  Please space yourselves out.  Once you are finished it is a requirement that you use the supplied bleach spray, paper towel and gloves to wipe down any surface you have touched/used.

Contact Tracing

Everybody needs to sign in, every time they play or come to the club, using the form at https://forms.gle/CDHU1jkxPg9WZgw69.  There are posters at the club which have the QR code that takes you to that form.

Tennis Associations / Competition Tennis

All teams for next season have been submitted to the various associations.  Thank you selectors!

New Membership System

We have a new membership system.  Please keep an eye out for an email asking you to activate your new account, and action it as soon as you can.

Membership

Most people have paid their membership for 20/21.  If you haven't paid yet, please do so now so your volunteer committee don't have to use their time following you up.   If you have any questions please contact Jarno at jarno.a.jansen@gmail.com or on 0400 192 285‬.

New Courts Project

As you can see from the photo above, the concrete slabs have been laid and are curing.  The fences are going up before Christmas, and most of the drainage is in place already.  Now that the Australian open has been pushed out to early February, we'll be able to start using our fantastic new hard courts while it's on.

The expected completion date is late January 2021.

Clubhouse Renovation/Rebuild

We are now working with the council to refine our requirements.  The next step will be to engage a consultant to help us create some concept plans and cost estimates.  As soon as we have a preferred concept plan you'll see it on this website and also on the wall at the clubhouse.
