2024: A Year of Grwoth and Improvement

We're excited to share some of the major improvements we've made at East Burwood Tennis Club in 2024:

  • Enhanced Coaching: Welcomed Duncan Sillato as our new Head Coach. Duncan brings a wealth of experience and is committed to helping players of all levels reach their full potential.
  • Court Renovations: Resurfaced courts 1 and 2 for optimal playing conditions. Upgraded drainage on courts 5-7 to improve court longevity.
  • Facility Upgrades: Installed a new gate and clubhouse access system for enhanced security. Upgraded the clubhouse's internal and external lighting for a more welcoming environment.
  • Streamlined Operations: Implemented a new court booking system for easier scheduling and management.
  • Strategic Partnership: Merged with Mount Waverley Tennis Club to create a stronger, more vibrant tennis community.
  • Infrastructure Improvements: Replaced the fence between courts 3/4 and 5/6.
  • New Equipment: Invested in new baggers and nets to maintain our high standards.

We're thrilled to announce several upcoming projects to further enhance your tennis experience at East Burwood Tennis Club:

Short-Term Upgrades:

  • Enhanced Lighting: Upgrade halogen lights on courts 5-9 to energy-efficient LED lighting.
  • Improved Court Booking: Introduce a new booking system that allows ALL members to book courts under the lights.
  • New Club Apparel: Launch stylish new club uniform shirts.

Long-Term Vision:

  • Expanded Lighting: Illuminate courts 1-2 and 3-4 for extended playing hours.
  • Court Resurfacing: Resurface courts 3 and 4 to ensure optimal playing conditions.
  • Competitive Opportunities: Organize more senior-aged competitions to cater to our mature members.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Continue to invest in new baggers and nets to maintain our high standards.
  • UTR Events: Host more UTR events to provide competitive opportunities for players of all levels.
  • Infrastructure Renewal: Replace all club fences for a modern and secure environment.
