On Saturday 15th May our club had the privilege of being the venue for a special media event hosted by our local member, Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg and grand slam wheelchair tennis champion Dylan Alcott. Anne Ruston, the Minister for Families and Social Services and Woman’s Safety was also in attendance to support the Treasurer in making announcements regarding additional funding in the federal budget for disability support.

Dylan was accompanied by a large number employees and supporters of his group “Get Skilled Access” which employs and assists disabled Australians in all walks of life.Dylan is a passionate and determined advocate for improving the lives of people with a disability. The enthusiasm of the Get Skilled Access employees who themselves are themselves disabled in some way is a testament to the group’s success.

Everyone in attendance was extremely complimentary about our facilities and had an enjoyable time using our courts and clubhouse as shown in the attached photos.
