COCTC newsletter

Dear members,

As we are now in the summer season we ask everyone to be very mindful of watering our courts regularly. We have activated the overnight sprinkler system but their efficiency depends on prevailing weather conditions.

Other news

Cr. Victor Franco met with our President and Secretary to discuss his vision and ideas for our sporting precinct encompassing the bowls, football, cricket, and tennis clubs.

It would be a long term project but in the meantime we are considering potential upgrades to our facilities the first of which is to install lights on courts 1,2&3. These new lights would significantly increase our capacity for night tennis.

We have made an application for a grant via Council for partial funding.

Council has made an audit of all sporting club light poles throughout Boroondara and four of our poles have been deemed in need of attention and the committee is working with a recommended supplier and Council to make the necessary reparations.

Court bookings

Please make sure you have your swipe card with you as the gates are now fully operational although we strongly recommend that you reserve your court through the Book A Court system as that will ensure that you have a court available.

Please let us know if anything is in need of your attention or if you have any suggestions to improve our club.

Enjoy your summer of tennis.
