Membership Terms & Conditions
I understand and agree that:
- I am bound by the Club’s Constitution, Coaching Policy, By-Laws and other Policies, and all relevant Tennis Australia (TA) national policies (as developed and amended from time to time) including but not limited to, the Member Protection Policy, the Code of behaviour, the Anti-Doping Policy, made available to me at http://www.tennis.com.au/about-tennis-australia/reports-and-policies/policies. I understand that if this is a Family membership application, each person named in the ‘Family’ section of the application will also be bound by these rules and policies.
- The annual membership fees for Ashburton Uniting Church Tennis Club are for 12 months and are due each year on 1st July. The membership year is from 1st July – 30th June next year.
- A membership will be considered lapsed if renewal is not completed within 14 days of the due date (i.e. by 15th July), and lapsed memberships will be treated as new memberships and incur the applicable joining fee.
- The fees are composed of club membership fees and membership with Tennis Australia, which includes Personal Accident Insurance.
- The Committee will set joining fees and annual membership fees for members each year at a timely Committee Meeting. There are several different membership categories including Adult, Family, Student, Junior, and Life Membership.
- Membership is non-refundable (even if a membership is varied, suspended or cancelled), not transferable and expires on the 30th each year.
- The Club may offer, at its discretion, pro-rata memberships after 1 January and will expire on 30th June.
- With membership, members receive free access to the club house and courts and subscription to the Club’s mailing list. Members can book courts themselves through the website.
- Payment for membership must be made by credit card or bank transfer. Members should retain proof of purchase of membership.
- Competition/Pennant players must be a financial club member through a Tennis Club that is affiliated with Tennis Australia or the relevant Association. AUCTC membership will provide affiliation with Tennis Australia, WDTA and BDNTA.
- The Club may reject my application for membership, accept my application but impose certain conditions or vary, suspend or cancel my membership during the membership term in its sole discretion.
- While it is free for members to use the courts, any guests or visitors with the member must pay the relevant fees as displayed on the Club’s website and clubhouse.
- I consent to the Club, State Tennis organisations, TA and government and commercial partners taking, retaining and reproducing the image and likeness of me and any other person named in the ‘Family’ section of this application form, in any way pertaining to my membership or my or their involvement in tennis. I agree that any such images or likeness may be used by any of these parties in reporting or marketing materials including online publications without any further notice or payment to me or them.
- I, and any other person named in the ‘Family’ section of the application, will become a registered player in the national online tennis platform, ClubSpark, and will be set up with a ClubSpark online profile. As a registered tennis player I understand I will receive administrative communications from the Club, the relevant State Tennis organisation and TA. I may also receive direct marketing communications. If I wish to unsubscribe from direct marketing communications, I can do so by changing the settings in my ClubSpark online profile.
- To assist us in the provision of products and services, we need to collect personal information about you and any other person named in the ‘Family’ section of this application. When you provide personal information you agree that this will be used by the Club, TA and other Australian Tennis Organisations’ under the terms of this statement, and the tennis privacy policy located at www.tennis.com.au/privacy, which contains information about how you or any other person named in the ‘Family’ section of this application, may access and seek correction of your personal information or complain about a breach of your privacy, and how we will deal with that complaint. If you do not agree, you must not provide your personal information, and you may be unable to access all of the Club, TA and other Australian Tennis Organisations’ products and services. The Club, TA and other Australian Tennis Organisations’ may disclose your personal information to other parties, including our related companies, other Australian Tennis Organisations’, and third parties who provide us services. From time to time, these third parties may be located (and therefore your personal information may be disclosed) overseas, including to the USA and the Netherlands and as otherwise specified in the tennis privacy policy. The Club, TA and other Australian Tennis Organisations’ may use and disclose your personal information for direct marketing purposes regarding the products and services you are signing up to receive, unless you opt-out (which you can do at any time in accordance with the tennis privacy policy).
- If we decide to change these Membership Terms & Conditions, we will put those changes on the Club’s website and via email to its members and update the Terms & Conditions last updated date.
