Seniors

The SDTA Winter Pennant is run by the Sunraysia District Tennis Association. It is a district wide league with 8 clubs participating. The season consists of 15 home and away games; round 1 commences early May and finals take place in September. Play occurs each Saturday from 1pm with 3 men and 3 ladies playing weekly on each team. Each player plays 3 sets of 8 games for the day: 2 doubles sets and 1 mixed.  There are currently 4 divisions in the competition.

Our club fields at least one team in each division annually. Our teams are generally composed of 4-5 men and 4-5 women to allow for players to have rostered weeks off or cover for illness and injury.

The 2026 SDTA competition will commence early May. We will begin recruiting players to fill all our teams at the end of January 2026. If you would like to play for Alcheringa in the 2026 season you can register your interest here. For more information get in touch at [email protected].

To participate in this competition you need to hold either or Competitive Play Membership or a Family Membership. These memberships are available from mid May each year and are valif from May 1- April 30. There is also a weekly ball fee that is determined at our AGM in May each year.

Juniors (8-16yrs)

The junior SDTA competition is run by the Sunreaysia Disctrict Tennis Association and operates from early May to September each year. Round 1 commences with a registration day at Mildura Lawn Tennis Club at the beginning of May. All juniors wishing to participate in the competitions simply need to attend the registration day and let them know your club affiliation (Alcheringa Tennis Club). Teams and matches are composed based on all the players who present.

The competition is comprised of various divisions from beginners to A grade players. Each team is made up of 4-5 players with 3 playing each week. The season features home and away games and runs for approximately 15 rounds with finals taking place in September.
