Restricted Access during building repairs

Many roofs on the church property were damaged during the hailstorm last year - along with many other buildings nearby and thousands of cars.

Repair work on the roofs will commence on in April 2021 and continue for some months.  This will be for the steel roofs, and the tiled roofs which require specialised treatment.

We had previously been advised that part of the grassed area between the tennis courts and buildings would be used for storage of materials and equipment.  The toilets and clubroom would be unavailable, but access to the courts would still be possible.  We have now learned that the entire grassed area will be fenced off by the contractors, including the tennis court gate.

To allow continued access to the courts we have installed a combination padlocks on the gates on the other three sides.  The code for the padlocks will be changed frequently, and will be advised in the confirmation email you receive when making a booking.

As access to the switch box for the lights will not be possible we have advanced our plans to install a lighting control system to turn the lights on and off automatically before and after a booking, and this should be completed soon.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these arrangements, but trust that you will understand that the roof repairs are essential, and we have done our best to ensure you can still enjoy your tennis during this period.
