Belrose Tennis Club welcomes new members!

The club is looking for active members to participate in club playing times as listed below as a prerequisite to entering in our annual Club Championships. Members are also encouraged to attend some of the social functions put on by the club during the year

General Information:

• Membership is open to all tennis players and as a member you can play during during the following allocated club social times:  Wednesday night 7.00pm to 10.00pm, Saturday afternoon from 1.00pm onwards, Wednesday morning from 9.00am for women and Thursday afternoon from 1.00pm for men.
• On any day (no lights) when the courts are not being used for coaching or by hirers, club members can use the courts at no cost. Each member can bring one guest.  On any night (with lights) when the courts are not being used for coaching or by hirers, club members can use the courts at 50% of the normal hiring cost.  For any court hire each member can bring one guest. If more than one guest per member is to play then the full hiring cost must be paid.
• Members should be aware that our club coach and paying hirers have priority over members’ bookings and accordingly members should be aware of the number of bookings they utilise at no charge.  If members require regular or permanent bookings, they should negotiate a fee with the club coach.
• Several club tournaments are held on Saturday afternoons throughout the year, usually followed by a BBQ.
• Club Championships are played over several months, starting around May.
• Several social functions are held throughout the year.

Procedure for Membership:

• A prospective member will be invited to play on a Saturday afternoon without cost.  At this time, the applicant can assess the Club and the Club (through the Selection Committee) can assess the applicant’s playing ability.
• A successful applicant will then receive a letter from the Club advising them of the relevant membership fee payable, as well as providing them with additional information.

Cost

• Ordinary members $250
• Junior members $125
