Altona Tennis Club was pleased to host a celebratory sod turning event in April 2021.

Ros Spence MP; Member for Altona the Hon. Jill Hennessy, Club Treasurer Ewa Schreiber and member Charmaine Russell to turn the first sod of soil on the court works on 1 April 2021. 

Phase 1 of the project, which includes five new artificial clay courts along Bluegum Drive, is scheduled to be complete around early July 2021.

Works will then begin on the other six porous courts along Fresno Street. This means the club only has access to five courts, plus the additional two public courts at Grant Reserve during certain times, for the rest of the year.
