Womens Mid-Week Grasscourts Tennis Association

The Women’s Midweek Grasscourt Tennis Association conducts a fantastic competition on Thursday mornings in and around Adelaide – commencing the first week of school term 4, and continuing until the week before Easter.  No matches are played during School Holidays.

Time of play is 9.30 am – 12.30 approx. 

Match format is 3 sets of doubles to 9 games with a tie-breaker at 8 games all.

Teams consist of 4 to 6 players.

In any typical year of the WMGTA, 7 generations of women play including women in their late teens to their eighties. In the competition are women who have competed at the Australian Open to those that took up the game in their fifties. The competition is a great way to meet new friends, continue old rivalries and have a great day playing on superb tennis courts.  Whether finishing school, at uni, have workplace flexibility, semi-retired or retired, this compeition is for all skill levels from State League to emerging and inclusive all those in between.
