Corona Virus and Social Tennis

CORONA VIRUS AND SOCIAL TENNIS

Our club still offers tennis every morning from 7.30am at this stage but we recommend one keeps the recommended 1.5m distance from others where possible. Hand gel is also available for use. There have been few cases of corona virus reported in our area to-date though we will advise players if the situation changes.

With roadworks taking place in Woods Street (opposite Aldi) at the moment, we suggest you turn left off Woods Street into the dirt road immediately before the courts to park at their eastern perimeter. There is a path at the southern perimeter of the courts to access the courts and club house.

ADVICE TO SOCIAL PLAYERS

In accordance with Tennis NSW guidelines our club is open for Social Tennis. Tennis NSW has also advised that Accident insurance remains in place.

The decision on whether to play is currently left to individual members.

As the virus poses a great risk to people this decision should be given serious consideration.

If you attend tennis sessions the following guidelines must be followed.

The future of social play will be under constant consideration and players will be advised of any change in policy.

1. STAY AT LEAST 2 METRES FROM OTHERS, DO NOT SHAKE HANDS;

2. AFTER EACH SET, WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY IN THE BATHROOM OR USE YOUR GEL OR THE GEL PROVIDED IN THE CLUBHOUSE;

3. IF YOU SEE A COMMERCIAL CLEANER, A CLOTH, AND DISPOSABLE GLOVES IN THE CLUBHOUSE, PLEASE WIPE OVER A FEW SUSPECT SURFACES WHILE YOU WAIT FOR A SET;

4. WIPE DOWN THE AREAS YOU USE TO MAKE A COFFEE/TEA, INCLUDING THE HANDLE OF THE URN, AND PLEASE PLACE YOUR MUG OR GLASS IN THE DISHWASHER...DO NOT LEAVE IT OUT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO HAVE TO HANDLE;

5. OF COURSE, COVER YOUR MOUTH/NOSE IF YOU SNEEZE OR COUGH...AND PLEASE GO HOME IF YOU ARE SHOWING SYMPTOMS (including 'just a headache').

BE RESPONSIBLE - DO NOT BE COMPLACENT
