On Friday 27th September our President Geoff and Secretary Cheryl represented our club at the Westport Club’s “Celebration of our Vision” evening. The night showcased the contribution that volunteers make to our community. Club Grants were given for a variety of organisations representing welfare, community, education, sports and recreation. Our Tennis club received $5,000 from Westport to carry on our Junior Scholarship program, sponsor our Seniors tournament and conduct Family Open days.

West Port Macquarie Tennis Club started life at the Westport Club in 1954 (that’s right, 65 years ago) and has been closely associated with them ever since. We thank Jenny Edmunds and her team at the Westport Club for all their support and generous sponsorship of our tennis club over many years.
