Kids Tennis Lessons

If your child is interested in starting tennis lessons, our hotshots program is the perfect place to start! We have kids group lessons and private lessons for children aged 3 - 18 years old. Whether you are wanting your child to make friends outside of school, work on their coordination, build resilience, share your love of tennis or simply they have a knack for ball sports, tennis is a fantastic foundation for them to learn.

Free Trial:

Not sure if your child will go in lessons? We offer a FREE trial group lesson to any child new to our tennis club. Click here to register them for their FREE trial. 

 

Investment:

Pricing for our group lesson can be found below with the lesson timetable. In addition, it is a requirement for all students par-taking in group or termly private lessons to be members of the West Port Macquarie Tennis Club. Private Lessons:

Not sure if group lessons are the right place to start? We offer 30 minute or 60 minute private lessons for kids aged 3 - 18 years. You can book casual private lessons or a termly block of 10 lessons for a discounted rate when you are a member of the tennis club. Find out more about pricing lesson pricing here. Tennis Tots (Aged 3-5 years) - 30 min lesson ($173.25 | 11 week term)

Weekly Leagues (Matchplay) - Our weekly matchplay is an opportunity for your child to play real games of tennis each week and put their skills into practice. Kids can learn how to score, practise shots in real time, grow their sportsmanship and resilience and play with friends that are their same skill level. Junior Development Squad - Is your child showing promise and commitment to tennis? For junior players who are wanting to play more competitively and excel to the next level, we offer placement within our invite only junior development squads. Find out more about our squads here. 

 

Term Dates: Our group and private lessons run within the school term. 

  • Term 1 (Mon 26th January - Thurs 2nd April)
  • Term 2 (Mon 20th April - Sat 4th July)
  • Term 3 (Mon 20th July - Sat 26th September)
  • Term 4 (Mon 12th October - Sat 19th December)

 

Makeup Lessons and Wet Weather:

If your child is unable to attend their tennis lesson, they are welcome to a makeup lesson as long as we have received written confirmation of their absence a minimum of 12 hours before their lesson begins. 

If the lesson is cancelled due to rain, you will receive a text message. If you do not receive a text message, please assume the lesson is ON. If you choose not to attend, but the lesson has gone ahead, no makeup lesson will be given.
