The Great Southern Tennis Assocation has, over the last couple of years been promoting Orange Ball competition throughout the Fleurieu and here at Victor Harbor Tennis Club we are encouraging all of our younger players to participate in this inter-club competition.  With the Orange Ball competition, the balls are similiar in size to a regular tennis ball, but has low compression so that it bounces slower for players to encourage rallies.  Although Orange Ball matches are played on regular courts, we make use of drop down lines to make it smaller to accommodate the young players, but not quite as small as a Red Ball court...about 75% of a full court.  The nets are also dropped down for ease of play.
