Tod Street's Hot Shots Program

With ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, the courts and equipment are smaller, and the balls don't bounce as high - perfect for new players. The smaller courts develop realistic footwork patterns. The modified balls bounce in the hitting zone relative to the height of the child. Racquets are sized to suit a childs height and stength.

Tod Street offers Hot Shots Coaching provided by Tennis Australia accredited coach Haydn Leo and his team from Your Advantage Tennis Academy. Tod Street also has Orange and Green Ball teams in the Gawler & District Tennis Association Hot Shots Match Play.

JUNIOR PROGRAMS

The priority at Tod Street is to encourage kids to have fun. This does not mean we leave players to muck around how they please, but to structure a development program that maximises their ability to compete, while teaching them to respect the right of all individuals to also have fun. All coaching and training is done in a relaxed environment.

During summer, Tod Street enter junior teams in the Gawler and District Tennis Association competition with matches played Saturday from 8:30am or Friday from 7:00pm, depending on ability. Players are coached by a Tennis Australia accredited coach. Coaching is supplement by practise sessions designed to reinforce coaching goals.
