A big shout-out to our ACT, Australian, World Seniors Champion and TSA Legend, Ros Balodis!

After a period of absence last year, Ros is back on the tennis court with renewed determination. She has achieved remarkable victories at the 2024 NSW Masters 700 and the 2025 Australian Individual Championships, where she triumphed in both the Women’s 65 singles and doubles!

Additionally, Ros led her ACT 60s Team to a gold medal victory at the Australian Teams Carnival. More recently, she excelled at the 2025 Oceania Regional Championships at Kooyong in March, winning titles in the Women’s 65 Singles, 60 Doubles, and the 65 Mixed Doubles.

This year, Ros was selected as Captain of the Women’s 65+ Australian Team (Kitty Godfrey Cup), who are currently competing in the ITF World Teams Championships in Florida (May 11 to 16, 2025). So far, Ros has won all of her singles matches without losing a game!

Reflecting on Ros's exceptional skills, her friend Helen described her as 'having the anticipation of Hingis, the flair of Alcaraz, and the clinical efficiency of Sinner!'
