Ricky Nguyen - Treasuer
Ricky Nguyen joined the Sydney University Lawn Tennis Club Board in July 2023 and was invited to serve as Head of Treasury and Finance, drawing on a lifelong connection to tennis and team sports. He provides strong financial stewardship, governance oversight, and a collaborative partnering approach to support the club’s sustainability and growth. Ricky values the club’s heritage and is committed to strengthening its community footprint.
Ricky is a Senior Finance Professional at the University of Sydney, supporting the Faculty of Medicine and Health. He also leads the Business Partnering Stream, building capability and strategic advisory across the University Operations Portfolio in partnership with the Business School’s Executive Education team. A Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ), he brings 15 years of finance leadership and organisational development experience across London and Sydney.
Ricky previously managed Mr Perfect Football Club, part of the men’s mental health charity Mr Perfect, within the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association. He remains active with both the club and the charity, supporting community sport and championing wellbeing, inclusion, and grassroots engagement.
Blending deep finance expertise with a genuine commitment to sport, Ricky contributes to SULTC’s governance and long-term success while supporting the growth of community-focused sporting organisations.
