St Mary's Tennis Club Commitment Statement
and Code of Behaviour
St Mary's Tennis Club Geelong Inc. has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of child-abuse and is committed to ensuring the sport of tennis is a safe and friendly environemnt for children and young people.
We are committed to providing a safe environemnt for all tennis participants, including indigenous children and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and to providing a safe environment for children and adults living with a disability who participate in tennis activities.
Child-safety must be embedded in our club's culture, reflected in our day to day activities, and understood and practiced at all levels of the sport.
It is essential everyone involved with delivering tennis at our club understands the important responsiblities they have in relation to shild-safety including club administrators, volunteers, coaches, parents and participants.
Our commitment extends beyond creating an environment that minimises risk and danger. It is about building an environment in which children feel respected, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
