AO One Point Slam State Final at Fawkner Park

SHTC had a great turn out for our inaugural AO One Point Slam on Monday 8th December.  The competition was very tough and we had a few contenders from other clubs as well. Congratulations to runner up George Batziakis and the winner Jun Poon.  Jun then went on to represent SHTC at AO one point slam State Final. He made it through to the 4th round but didn’t quite make it to the Final which was won by Petar Jovic from Cranbourne Tennis Club.

SHTC was also lucky enough to be selected to be represented by Alejandro Kon (WTA Coach) at the final at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 14th January. Unfortunately, he didn’t get through to the end but it was great to be represented at

this level and to be in the running for a $50,000 grant for the club. Looking forward to running this exciting event again next year.
