Congratulations to Captain Yuko and the South Hawthorn women’s team on an outstanding season in MEMRLTA and a fantastic showing at the Victorian Champions League run in late April 2026.

After a successful MEMRLTA finals campaign, my team was invited to represent the league at the state level, competing in Women’s Doubles – Section 1.

Across two days of competition, the team played four matches (8‑game, one‑set format):

**Saturday 25 Apr**  
•  vs Canterbury: 1-3
• vs Beaumaris: 4-0

**Sunday 26 Apr**  
• vs Donvale: 4–0
• Grand Final vs Canterbury: 0-4

Our team finished as runners‑up!

The event also served as a qualifying pathway, and as a result of their performance, the team has earned the right to apply for the next National League selection event on the Gold Coast in July.
