Member Protection Policy

SHTC takes seriously its responsibility and commitment to provide a safe environment for those participating in club activities.

Member Protection Information Officer

Our Club has a Members Protection information Officer (MPIO) who is dedicated to ensuring the safety of children and our members.

Our MPIO plays an important role in the sport of tennis. They are appointed to act as the first point of contact at a club for any enquiries, concerns or complaints for harassment, abuse, and other inappropriate behaviour.

Safeguarding Children

SHTC endorses Tennis Australia Commitment Statement:

• All of our Club volunteer Committee members and the Club coaching team have Working With Children Checks (WWCC).
• Our club has appointed a Member Protection Information Officer who is trained on their obligations and responsibilities with respect to child-safety.
