Summer Season

Junior State League  is aimed at providing the best junior players in South Australia the opportunity to compete against each other in a weekly competition played over the summer season.

This season will see the introduction of the “Junior State League 2” (or JSL2). This will be the second tier of the Junior State League Competition. The aim of this division is to create a pathway for players who have performed well at Association level, and are striving to make the Junior State League competition.

The Junior State League competitions are played on Friday nights in a home & away structured competition.

Dates for Junior State League & Junior State League 2

Online nominations open, 31 July 2024.
- Online nominations close, 14 August 2024.
- Start of season, 18 October 2024.
- Last match before Christmas, 13 December 2024.
- Break after, 14 December 2024 and returning, 31 January 2025.

2024/25 Key Dates – Junior State League 1 

- Photo Day to be confirmed.
- Last round, 14 February 2025.
- Finals to be run over 2 weekends, commencing 21 February with the Grand Final on 28 February 2025.

- Matches will not be played over the Adelaide Cup Long Weekend – 7-10 March 2025.
Finals to be run over 2 weekends, commencing 14 March with the Grand Final on 21 March 2025.

Metro League is a highly competitive competition that has evolved over the recent seasons. Metro League is an open competition accessible to teams from any Metro based Association. The aim of this competition is to provide a competition of strong standard that can provide a stepping stone to State League or a competitive playing experience for those who are looking for a competitive hit but not at State League level.

- Online nominations close, Sunday, 25 August
- Start of season, Saturday, 12 October
- Last match before Christmas to be Saturday, 14 December
- Break after, 14 December and returning on Saturday, 1 February
- Last round to be, Saturday, 1 March
- Matches will not be played over the Adelaide Cup Long Weekend – Saturday, 8 March
- Finals to be run over 3 weekends, commencing Saturday, 15 March, with the Grand Final on Saturday, 29 March

Seaside Conditions of Membership

- The player is strongly encouraged to wear the Seaside Tennis Club shirt during match day competition. To order, click the uniform link here.
- Player will present themselves for play in clean and customarily acceptable tennis attire.
- The player agrees to abide by the Tennis Australia Code of Behaviour. Players shall conduct themselves in a responsible manner at all times with the Committee having the right to cancel the membership of an offending player.
- Court allocation is under the control of the Management Committee as courts will not always be available in the event of tournaments.
Senior match players are to notify their availability by Wednesday. Late withdrawal will only be accepted in an emergency. Other cases of late withdrawal will incur a one match suspension.
- The player and player’s parents/caregivers (for players under 16 years of age) agrees to abide by the Seaside Tennis Club Member Protection Policy.
- The player and player’s parents/caregivers (for players under 16 years of age) acknowledge that the teams will be selected in accordance with the Seaside Tennis Club Selection policy.
The player agrees to have their details entered onto the Tennis Australia website.
