Jo Rule selected to represent Australia at ITF World Tennis Masters Championships

One of our top Sale Tennis Club Members, Jo Rule, has been travelling the Tennis Masters Circuit competing in singles and doubles over the last couple of years. This hard work and success have resulted in her being selected to represent Australia at the ITF World Tennis Masters Championships, held in Portugal from Sunday the 31st of July to Friday the 5th of August.

Jo and ten other Victorians have been selected for the team, where players will play in a round-robin format. She is the Number 1 lady for Australia and will be playing in the Margaret Court Cup for women aged 45+, in both singles and doubles, with matches every day of the week. Australia will be up against teams from all over the World, including Latvia, South Africa, Sweden, USA, India and Argentina, just to name a few.

Jo has been playing tennis all her life; this is her first time representing her country. This success shows that you are never too old to set goals for yourself and improve in skills and fitness. Tennis is a sport for life, and whether you play socially with friends and family or competitively, there is something for everyone.

We wish Jo the best of luck and look forward to her safe return to Sale to hear about her experience on the World Circuit!
