Members are notified that a Special General Meeting of the Reid Tennis Club will be held at the clubhouse on Sunday 29 June 2025 at 3pm. The purpose of the meeting is to make changes to the Reid Tennis Club Constitution to be consistent with Australian Taxation Office requirements to retain status as a non-profit organisation.
The first change clarifies that on dissolution of the Club, any assets will be distributed to a non-profit ACT sporting club or peak ACT sporting body as the members decide.
Secondly, there are three separate changes proposed, all relating to financial matters:
- distribution of surpluses;
- veracity of payments made by Reid Tennis Club to club members or their associates; and
- checking the integrity of any, and all, payments made by the Reid Tennis Club.
