Junior Leagues end of season wrap up and congratulations!

Last Sunday marked the end of The Walking Clinic Junior Yellow Ball Spring League for 2023.

Red Hill Tennis Club was well represented this season with 16 teams competing, and two teams making finals. It's so pleasing to see so many players out there playing under the Red Hill Roos banner.

A big congratulations to our Div 1 (Sophie, Samuel, Ekansh and Meike) and Div 6 (Luca, George, Henry and Jack) who made the finals last Sunday - finals are very hard to win!! Commiserations Div 6. 

Well done Div 1, who brought the title back 'home' for Red Hill!! The title was last held in Autumn 2022. 

It takes a lot of effort and coordination to get so many players on the court week in and week out, and we are thankful to the club volunteers, parents and managers for making it all possible.  

And with 16 teams (more than any other club) comes the massive task of finding weekly reserves when injury or sickness strikes. A big thanks goes to Matt McDonald for giving up his time to help fill in the gaps each week. 

Thanks go to Michael Bruen at Tennis ACT, who helped many managers with issues around rules, scores and the Competitive Player Profile scene! We promise to have our teams in on time and sorted next season Michael. 

In 2024, Jade Caboche will be working with Matt on the coordination of the Red Hill Junior Tennis League. Libby will be around to help Jade step into this role, but it's time for her to step out.

Entries close on 5 February for the 2024 Walking Clinic Junior Yellow Ball League, which is due to  commence on 25 February.  Jade will be in touch closer to the time to organise registration. 

Please come along and play in the annual Club Championships on Sunday 17 December in the morning - there will be a range of events that junior club members can play in, including 18 and under singles!! An email will follow shortly.
