Port Macquarie Tennis Club Play. Tennis. By the Beach.
We are a well established club with six courts, recently resurfaced, and good lighting for evening tennis. We are seeking Grant funding to improve the lighting on all courts with LEDs. Our membership base is growing and we have a healthy junior membership. Details on becoming a member are available on this website and we would love you to join us.
At Port Macquarie Tennis Club we offer Professional tennis tuition for all ages and all standards by our resident coach Greg Alchin who operates a pro shop from the Centre. Greg stocks a variety of tennis equipment with the latest rackets and an excellent restringing service. There are adult and junior group lessons available as well as private and semi-private lessons. Greg also runs various school programs in the Hastings areas and the complex is used by the local schools for sport. Members can hire courts at a reasonable cost and we run junior and adult competitions. There are also plenty of opportunities for social games on some nights and during the day. Hitting partners can be arranged by appointment.
Club members can participate in competitions on Tuesday or Wednesday nights and we run a mixed doubles competition on Friday mornings. A junior competition is run each term on a Friday evening. We also run an annual seniors tournament and Club Championships each year.
We are a family orientated club with a creche area, BBQ facilities which any club member can use and a clubhouse with a fully equipped kitchen. We now have a large outdoor shelter near our top two courts which gives all weather protection. The complex, including the BBQ area, and new shelter can be hired for parties. We overlook the beautiful Oxley Beach and are close to Town Beach, the breakwall and the town centre. Visitors are most welcome.
Please call us on 02 6584 9940 or drop in and see us, we are right opposite Oxley Beach.
