Even though we've just hit the middle of Winter, there's still plenty going on around the Point Lonsdale Tennis Club! Here are some of the highlights, and some events to keep an eye on...

360Q Bellarine Masters UTR Comp

We had a fantastic time at the 360Q Bellarine Masters on June 21st hosted here at Lonnie. It was a most enjoyable day of top-notch junior tennis, excellent sportsmanship and some very close matches.

A big congratulations to Nuri, who narrowly defeated fellow Lonnie Stingray junior Tom to win his section - an awesome effort from both boys. 

A shout-out to Ivy for taking on her very first UTR tournament and playing brilliantly, and to Frankie for pulling off a very impressive upset win. It’s great to see our juniors step up and give the comp a crack.

We want to give a huge thanks as well to Mel, Dom and Rory for running the club canteen, raising some great funds for our junior players. You guys were legends on the day and the whole club appreciates your efforts.

If you missed the June comp – not to worry, because the next round is coming up on the 20th of July at Drysdale. It will have the same set-up with UTR band round robin style play, and will be open for both U18 Yellow Ball and U10 Green Ball players.

School Holidays Junior Clinic

For those of you who are looking for something to do with the kids these school holidays, head on down to our tennis clinic run by our awesome Coach Harry. 

The clinic will be held across Wednesday 9th, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th of July from 10:00am - 12:00pm, and it’s a great opportunity for the kids to get out and about, have a hit of the ball and learn from one of our very best.

The cost is $100 for all three days or $35 per day, with drinks and snacks included - but keep in mind that spots are limited as these clinics are often very popular, so get in quick!

Social Media Glow Up

Some of you may have noticed that our social media has had a little bit of a revamp!

Our goal is to make it a space where we can share club updates, upcoming events, member highlights and, of course photos of you - our members!
