The Peninsula Tennis Association inc (PTA) will hold its ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING on

Thursday 22nd August 2023 at 7.30pm 

At Mornington Community House, 3/91 Wilsons Rd, Mornington

Any notices of motion, must be received by the Association Secretary by no later than
Thursday 15th August 2024 to secretary@peninsulatennis.com.au

Agenda Highlights:

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the growth and sustainability of tennis in our region, we will be presenting three important Notices of Resolution at the AGM. These resolutions are attached to this email for your review.

Notice of Special Resolution 1: Amalgamation with Southern Peninsula Tennis Association Inc. (SPTA)

We propose the amalgamation of the SPTA with the PTA. This merger aims to streamline the administration of tennis competitions and events in our region, providing a more robust support structure and reducing the burden on volunteers. The amalgamation will also allow for more efficient use of resources and a unified approach to developing tennis in our area.

Notice of Special Resolution 2: Changes to the Constitution

To facilitate the amalgamation and ensure our association remains adaptable to future changes, we propose several amendments to our constitution. These amendments are designed to provide flexibility for a changing association without the need to constantly amend the constitution, which is an expensive and time-consuming process.

Notice of Resolution 3: Set out the number of Ordinary members required.

Attendance and Voting:

Your participation in the AGM is crucial. Each member club must have at least one delegate in attendance, and each club is entitled to one vote on the proposed resolutions.

It is a requirement that each affiliated club is represented by at least 1 delegate.
