Nunawading Tennis Club has a proud history with many teams representing the club and a number of premierships won. NTC offers a wide range of competition tennis that caters for players of all ability levels. We're always looking for new teams and encourage new members to reach out to the relevant convener to get involved.
ALL players are required to hold an active paid membership throughout the season relevant to the competion.

Juniors (Eastern Region)
Junior competition (conducted by Eastern Region Tennis), is run on Saturday and Sunday mornings. NTC is well represented with a range of different teams for junior players. We cater for all ages and standards whilst offering a variety of formats which include mixed, boys and girls with a combination of both singles and doubles.

Night Tennis (Blackburn Districts Night Tennis Association)
NTC is part of BDNTA with various competion levels played between Monday and Thursday night. Players only participating in night competition can take out a night membership. Ball money is to be paid on the night of play (home & away).
The following formats are available for Night Competition:
Monday Night - Ladies and Open Competition (doubles only)
Tuesday Night - Open Competition (doubles only)
Wednesday Night - Open Competition (doubles only)
Thursday Night - Open Competition (singles/doubles & doubles only)

Seniors (Eastern Region)
Senior competition (conducted by Eastern Region Tennis), is run on Saturday afternoons commencing at 1:15pm. This competition is run as both a summer & winter season.
Sunday competition for seniors is available during the summer season only and commences at 1:15pm. The format is an Open Singles/Doubles competition with 2 players per team. One singles rubber and one doubles rubber is played. This competition provides a good alternative to Pennant during the summer season.

MIDWEEK LADIES
The MEMRLTA Ladies competition is played on a Tuesday commencing at 9.30 a.m.
The EDWTA Ladies competition is played on a Wednesday commencing at 10.00 a.m.
The format is a doubles only competition with 8-game sets being played.

Pennant
Tennis Victoria Pennant Competition is the highest and largest standard of club competition available to players in Victoria. It is run only as a winter competition between April - September.
Pennant typically runs as follows:
Women's Saturday mornings OR Sunday afternoons.
Men's Saturday afternoons OR Sunday afternoons.
Selection process commences end of January with team entry required by mid March. It is a requirement once the team has been entered that membership (if not already a full member) & ball money is paid for in full.

Club Championships
Club Championships are held every March/April before the commencement of the winter Pennant season. It is expected that all players that have nominated for Pennant will participate in the Club Championships, as this assists the Pennant Convenor in finalising our team selections.

Junior Boys & Girls Singles & Doubles (Under 18, Under 15, Under 11)
Friday night competition for juniors is an intra-club competition run by Peter Caruana (Head Coach). This competition is for younger players who are starting competition play and still learning the procedures of how competition matches take place. It is considered a stepping stone for junior players who are looking to get involved in Saturday morning inter-club competition.
