New Women’s Singles/Doubles Competition – Entries Open

Your new committee has been exploring ways to expand playing opportunities for female players, and we’re excited to announce a brand new singles/doubles competition in response to player feedback.

When: Mondays, 12:00 - 2:30 PM

Dates: 19 May - 30 June (no play on the long weekend)

Where: Kooroora Tennis Club or a venue of your choice

Format: Consists of one singles per player, followed by a doubles

• Singles: First to 6 games (tiebreak at 5-5)
• Doubles: First to 6 games (tiebreak at 5–5)

You can enter as a pair or a team of up to 3 players. We also welcome individual entries and will do our best to match you up.

Entry: please complete the attached form and return it to Susie at Competition Secretary by May 10 2025.
Entry Fee: $50 per team 

Please pay by direct transfer to Northern Suburbs Ladies Midweek Tennis BSB 032-090 A/C 694611 and quote team name on the transaction.

• Court hire and balls to be arranged by the teams.
• Three courts have been reserved at Kooroora, or feel free to use your own venue.
• Competition will run for 6 weeks (subject to final number of entries).

Wednesday Competition Format

• Day: Wednesday, with three competitions held each year
• Time: 9:30AM - 1:30PM
• Venue: Matches are played on a variety of club and private courts across the Northern Suburbs of Sydney
• Teams: Each team consists of three players, with each player competing in four sets

We warmly welcome new teams to join the competition. If you'd like more information about the playing levels in each division, we can provide guidelines tailored to help you understand the competition structure (our committee has extensive knowledge in this area).

If you're looking to join an existing team, we’re happy to assist in finding a suitable match for your playing level.

We also offer a reserve pool, which is an excellent opportunity to familiarise yourself with the teams and players while participating as needed.
