Andrew Walter from Walter&Walter design office has been kindly working with the committee to develop a new vision for its new club house. How can we make better spaces for players, spectators and the community?

"For the players & spectators there are many opportunities for the building to use free things like the quality of light and good viewing relationship to the courts. These elements can be harnessed to celebrate what a special club this can become."

"For the community, can the building be open and inviting? Are there spaces that can be shared by others? Are there possibilities to generate revenue for the club while also improving the experience for spectators and parents?"

From this Andrew has developed a new stunning vision for the space filled with natural light and the use of indoor, covered and open spaces.

Murrumbeena Tennis Club and Walter&Walter are currently working with the Glen Eira council to finalise the planning & engineering and hope to begin works later this year on the construction.
