"LOVE ALL" fundraiser for Jo Macklan

Many people in town will know the Macklan family, in particular Jo Macklan, who has been involved in many aspects of the community, including the UKV Lions Club.

Despite Jo's ever-present smile, she is actually having a battle with breast cancer.

Jo and her family have given so much to the community, especially to our tennis club, so we here at the club feel it's time to give back.

On Sunday, 8th February, will be a day of fun at the courts while raising awareness and showing support for one of our favourite families.

Please make the effort to attend at some point during the day to show your support.

• 9-10 am – Kids clinic

• 10-11 am – Games & Challenges

• Egg n bacon rolls breakfast, Honeybird coffee cart, BBQ lunch & beer from Crank Handle Brewery.

Spring Night Competition Results: Tuesday Final — Paul Mock's team. Wednesday Final — Andy Shuttleworth's team.

Spring Night Competition Finals started on Tuesday, 16th December, at 7:00 pm. All teams play in a final. Wednesday night, 17th December, started at 6:00 pm, and all teams played in a final again.

Family - Parent/Child combinations

We had an excellent turnout for this section, with 12 pairs placed into three pools of four. Each played three sets, with the first to four games being the winner. This was an enjoyable aspect of the day.

1. Light Usage is now available via the Court Booking System — The club recently installed a Light Controller, thanks to funds provided by AGL. When a court is booked, the lights can also be booked for $5.00/hour; both members and the public pay this fee. Two PINS are received. Please refer to the ATTACHED PDF document that explains the process. This information is also displayed on the outside and inside noticeboards at the clubhouse.
2. The 2025 AGM was held on 10th September 2025
3. 2025/26 Membership is due on 1st October 2025. The membership year runs from October 1st to September 30th.
4. Membership — The fees are Adults $60.00, Family $135.00 and Junior $25.00 (not in a family). Half-year membership is available from 1st April 2026. Click [HERE] to join.

AO ON THE ROAD—GALA Day—at Mount Beauty Courts, Sunday, 3rd November, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, was a huge success.

The Australian Tennis Open Memorial Cups, also known as Daphne and Norman, are named after two Australian Tennis Players Daphne Akhurst who won the women’s singles title at the Australian Championship five times between 1925 and 1930 and Norman Brookes a former Grand Slam Champion, winning at Wimbledon in 1907 and 1914 and the Australasian Championship in 1911.
