Passing of Life Member - Lyndall Malcolm
The family of Lyndall Malcolm would like to notify current and past members of Morphett Vale Tennis Club of her passing.
Friends, and club members are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Lyndall’s life at Thaxted Park Golf Course on 19th January 2026, arriving at 1:00 pm for a 1:30 pm start. Lyndall's family would be honoured to share this time of remembrance with those who knew her through the club.
Lyndall was a dedicated and much-loved member of the club from the 1970s through to the 2010s. Over those decades, she gave generously of her time and energy, including running night tennis twice a week, serving as Junior Manager, coaching junior players, and helping to organise and run the annual junior tournament throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
Tennis was an important part of Lyndall’s life, and the friendships and community she found through the club meant a great deal to her.

🟡Coaching: Private lessons for Juniors & Seniors;
🟡Coaching: Junior Squad by invitation - Tue 6:15-8:15pm;
🟡Coaching: Hotshots (group lesson for kids) - Wed & Fri 4-4:45pm (Red/Orange Balls) & Wed 4:45-5:30pm (Yellow/Green Balls)
🟡Club Training: Juniors - Thu 5-6pm, Seniors - each team decides on their own day & time
🟡Social Tennis: Monday Nights (Fast4Tennis) 7pm-9/10pm, pay-as-you-go $8 Seniors, $5 Juniors(cond. apply)
🟡SDTA Competition - JUNIORS: Saturdays - Juniors 8:30am & 10:45am, Seniors - 1pm; Fridays - Junior Div1 & Premier 6pm(winter)/6:30pm(summer)
🟡SDTA Competition - SENIORS: Saturdays - 1pm
🟡Court Hire (subject to availability; Members - FREE, Non-members - $10/hour)

Our club is located at the Morphett Vale Memorial Sports Complex on the corner of South Road and Wheatsheaf Road. Entrance is either via Entrance to the Complex from Wheatsheaf Road (better parking) or Jordan Drive.
We are one of the largest clubs in SA and have 8 Blue Courts painted with the “Trueflex” Australian Open style surface. All courts have available flood lighting for night tennis. We do not share our facility with Netball or other sports hence we only have tennis lines marked on our courts.
Clubhouse are adjacent to courts #1 & #2 with disabled access, toilets and canteen.
Competitions for Juniors and Seniors are run in Summer (Oct to March) and Winter (May to September).
