Are you our next MLTC Club Champion?

As a member of Midland Lawn Tennis Club you get to play in the annual Club Championships and earn your name on the Club's plague boards.

Enrolments are easy, all ages are welcome to participate in Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. 

In 2023/2024 we are running the championships over three different event days:

MENS  DOUBLES 9AM SATURDAY 16 DECEMBER 2023 (COMPLETED)

SINGLES 9AM SATURDAY 23 MARCH 2024

LADIES DOUBLES 9AM SATURDAY 23 MARCH 2024

MIXED DOUBLES 9AM SUNDAY 24 MARCH 2024

Champion of Champions Tennis West Event

In 2024, the Champion of Champions Event is set to again become one of the most prestigious events on the Tennis West calendar. Champions from each affiliated Tennis Club will be pitted against each other in a knockout battle for supremacy.

2024 Champion of Champions Event – what?

• Singles players and doubles pairs will qualify to represent their Club at the Tennis West Champion of Champions Finals by winning their respective Club Singles and Doubles Titles
• Club Singles and Doubles winners will be ranked into divisions according to their UTRs
• Division 1 players will challenge for a total prize pool in excess of $10,000.00
• Other Divisions will challenge for an appropriate prize yet to be determined (depending on number of entries).

2024 Champion of Champions Event – why?

• This initiative is aimed at re-energising member engagement towards their own Club Championships

Champion of Champions – history

• Commencing in 1964, the inaugural winners of the Champion of Champions were Dorothy Whitely (Lee) and Brian Bowman
• Multiple past winners of the Champion of Champions include Christine Mattison (Dorey), Paula Parentich, Gary Penberthy, Rob Casey and Roger Grant
• This event, discontinued after 1995, is now set to be reintroduced at the completion of the 2023/2024 Summer League season

• Saturday 20 April & Sunday 21 April
• Venue: Cottesloe Tennis Club

Doubles – Mens & Womens

• Saturday 27 April & Sunday 28 April
• Venue: Cottesloe Tennis Club
