In 2014, Ringbark Tennis Club - led by then President, Stewart Learmonth & Secretary/Treasurer Kathy Dawson formed a MTC Steering Committee to continue the drive to develop Manjimup town-based tennis facilities that was initiated in 2012.  This steering committee included Peter Simpson as Chair of the committee, Kathy Dawson as interim secretary & members Stewart Learmonth (RTC President), Trent Sharpe (Kearnan College Head of Phys Ed at the time), Paul Starkie (MPS phys ed teacher & private coach), Jodi Johnston (local Physiotherapist with sons as junior players).

With the renaming of Ringbark Tennis Club to Manjimup Tennis Club in 2015, the MTC Committee of today was formed and tennis coaching continued at various local schools when available.  The MTC committee has remained constant with a united vision of new facilities in the centre of Manjimup.
